Mind Maps

To start this project, I designed and created some mind maps and moodboards to accompany these to help create a good idea and strong concept. My first idea was to photograph on Dartmoor, either the tors, or the Yelverton to Princetown Railwa, or Devonport Leat. I would then try and find somehistory of these locations and then either follow the route of the railway or Devonport Leat, and document it as I go. However I couldn't get a good concept to come from this so I need a second idea.

For my second idea, I thought of trying to incporporate my car into my final images. Being a new driver, it is an exciting new chapter and having the freedom is something that I would want to convey in my images. I liked the idea of being able to photgraph my car, however to make the idea strong and convincing I needed a strong concept to go alongside. This was something I struggled to come up with as I needed something else to be the main focal point of the research of the project before just shooting picutres of my car. I wanted to come up with something that had a stronger concept.

My final idea is to photograph RAF Harrowbeer as it stands today. I will look at the history of the air base and what it was originally used for. I want to try and shoot at night to allow me to use light painting in myimages. I used this for a previous project and really enjoyed it. It would be great if I could try and bring these two toghether to go along side my concept which I am now happy with.
